Choose plain numbers, Page N, N of M or Page N of M. Total-based formats count only the pages inside the selected numbering range and begin at 1, so excluding a cover also excludes it from M. The preview shows the exact selected format, range, position, font size and margin before the PDF is sent.

After processing, PdfnMore reports the measured request completion time instead of claiming hidden server-side stages. Check the first and last numbered pages and any rotated pages before replacing your original. PdfnMore normalizes page rotation only where a number is added so visible placement stays tied to the displayed edge.
The current tool adds visible Arabic numerals to one contiguous physical page range. It supports six positions, plain numerals, Page N, N of M and Page N of M, plus a custom starting number for the non-total formats, 8–24 pt Helvetica and 12–72 pt margins. Total-based formats begin at 1 and use the selected numbering-range length as M. Facing-page mirroring, odd/even-only rules, Roman numerals, multiple independent numbering sections, custom fonts/colors/opacity and dynamic renumbering after later page edits are not live yet.
Frequently asked questions about Add Page Numbers
Can I leave a cover page unnumbered?
Yes. Set Number from page to 2, or to the first physical PDF page that should receive a visible number. For N of M and Page N of M, only the selected numbering range is counted in M.
Can I add Page N of M to a PDF?
Yes. Open Advanced options and choose Page 1 of N. PdfnMore starts total-based numbering at 1 and uses the number of pages in your selected numbering range as the total, so the local preview matches the exported PDF.
Does the preview upload my PDF?
No. PdfnMore renders the page-number preview from the PDF already selected in your browser. The file is sent for processing only after you choose Add page numbers.
