Fill text, choice and button fields
PDF Forms is useful for applications, questionnaires, checklists and administrative documents that already contain interactive text boxes, checkboxes/buttons or choice fields.
Interactive PDF forms versus flat PDFs
The current V1 fills existing interactive fields rather than creating new fields on a flat PDF. XFA forms, certificate-backed digital-signature fields and field flattening are not supported yet.
The current production PDF Forms tool supports one PDF up to 50 MB and 300 pages with up to 500 detected fields. V1 supports text, button/checkbox and choice fields in standard AcroForm PDFs. Read-only fields, XFA forms, digital-signature fields and flat non-interactive documents are preserved but not editable.
Frequently asked questions about PDF Forms
Which PDF form fields can I fill?
The current V1 supports standard AcroForm text fields, button/checkbox fields and choice fields where their structure can be read safely.
Can PdfnMore fill XFA forms?
Not in V1. XFA-based forms use a different form technology and are not edited by the current engine.
Does the tool flatten the completed form?
No. V1 keeps the PDF form interactive after values are written. Flattening fields into permanent page content is a future upgrade.
